Hrad je cca 35-minut jízdy autem z letiště BRNO-Tuřany po dálnici D2 směrem na Mikulov.

Hrad Dolni Kounice je otevřen veřejnosti v určité dny od března do září 2017.

Běžná návštěvní doba je od 10 - 17 hodin.

Vstup do hradního paláce je možný pouze s průvodcem. Vstup do hradu je poměrně strmý.

Entry to the palace is only possible with a guide. Entry to the castle is quite steep.
